Personal data means any information that can identify you personally. I process personal data only where necessary to operate this website, respond to inquiries or where you have given consent.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by manitu GmbH, Welvertstraße 2, 66606 St. Wendel, Germany. When the website is accessed, technically necessary access data is processed, in particular IP address, time of access, requested file, transferred data volume, referrer, browser and operating-system information. This processing serves the secure and stable provision of the website and is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Contact form and contact by email
If you contact me via the contact form or by email, I process the information you provide in order to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is related to a contract or pre-contractual measures; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.
Contact requests are retained only as long as necessary to process the inquiry, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Privacy-friendly statistics
This website uses a reduced, self-hosted statistics function. It counts page views and events such as work views, media openings and outbound link clicks. No tracking cookies are set and IP addresses are not stored in plain text. For daily visitor counting, a short-lived hash is used that is not intended to create a permanent user profile. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in technically and editorially meaningful usage information pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
6. YouTube videos with two-click consent
This website may embed videos from YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. YouTube content is not loaded automatically when the page is opened. A connection to YouTube/Google is established only when you actively load a video. Personal data, in particular your IP address and technical information about your device, may then be transferred to Google. If you are logged in to Google or YouTube, Google may associate the access with your account.
Where possible, I use the youtube-nocookie.com domain. Even then, a transfer of data to Google cannot be ruled out. Activation is therefore based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or accessed from your device, Sec. 25 TDDDG. You can use the website without loading YouTube videos.
If you choose “Remember choice for this browser session”, this decision is stored in your browser’s session storage and is deleted when the browser tab or session is closed. It is not stored permanently.
